Here at CUB we love a pop up shop, and what better brand than to pop up but Petit Bateau? Responsible for making you salivate over yellow rain macs in Urban Outfitters (yes, really) and the unchallenged winner of the best ever Breton stripe top, Petit Bateau appeals to our cool, wish-we-we’re-French-and-then-we’d-pull-this-off-better side. It’s a happy marriage of comfy casual and the ever-covetable French beacon of seaside chic.
To celebrate their 120th anniversary – golly! – the French brand has collaborated with the dudes from music and fashion house Maison Kitsuné. Gildas Loaëc, Masaya Kuroki have come on board with the team to bring some pop culture fun into Petit Bateau’s perfect everyday capsule wardrobe.
If you’re into stripes and comfy jumpers then the AW14 collection is just up your street. I mean, it’s definitely up mine. So many jumpers, so little time. Petit Bateau’s new collection drops in more than a print or two, mixing up autumnal geometrics with classic navy and burgundy stripes for the ideal French element.
We’d be lying if we said you wouldn’t love it all. From casual long sleeves to easily loungable skirts, the new collection is ideal for your day-to-day fun times. And days when you just want to be comfy. In this weather, that’s all I’m after.
The Petit Bateau pop up shop is open Friday 14th February – Thursday 13th March at 64 Charlotte Road, EC2A 3PE. Visit petit-bateau.co.uk for more information.
