London Fashion Week Day 3: Sophia Webster

Sophia Webster’s presentation seemed to bring the sun out in Covent Garden this morning. Stepping inside her Heartbreak Hotel – that is, 38 King Street – and all seemed right with the world once more. Flowers lined the shop itself, the presentation being set in her pop-up, with mini Websters (for babies) on cake stands through the line to the room of dreams.

The collection for autumn/winter 2014 ‘Happily Ever After is SO Once Upon a Time’, featuring Cinderf*?ingrella and her team of well-heeled girls, were inside the Heartbreak Hotel, an intricately, perfectly styled kitsch set of dreams. The shoes were propped on shoe boxes, on shelves and on the models themselves, dangling their legs out of the bath, sitting as Rapunzel on a spiral staircase and curled up waiting for Prince Charming to call. A new wave of Webster clutches made their way out for autumn/winter, with the designer’s characteristically cheerful heels ranging from low to mid heel, and calf high bootie version. The epitome of cute, in all forms.

In this case, pictures speak louder than words; I shan’t bore you further, just look at the pictures. Every single person in the room had their smartphone out, snapping away; my Twitter and Instagram feeds have been full up of Sophia Webster goodness all day. Not that I’m complaining.
