Not ready to say goodbye to the cold winter months yet? Threadneedle Bar is releasing an exclusive range of ‘Smoky Cocktails’ to keep you warm from the 13th of February and throughout the year. Each of the cocktails are specially designed by a team of world class mixologists and come with their very own personality.
What makes the cocktails smoky? There are two answers. First, ingredients such as Whisky and Mezcal are used that instil a pleasant burn and husk within each drink and second, key serves are infused with wood smoke to guarantee a robust, heady kick. The purpose behind such a distinct range is to trigger nostalgic memories of summer barbecues and camping fires to give customers a truly immersive and imaginative drinking experience.
Threadneedle Bar is situated at The Royal Exchange, once the centre of commerce for London, and overlooks the Grand Café within the Royal Exchange. However, despite such a prestigious location the bar itself is discreet and cosy, perfect for a pit stop after Uni, work or even for a refined night out with friends. All cocktails are priced as you might expect for London at £12 each.
Three cocktails you can expect to find on the menu are:
Smoky Mandarin: consists of Black Label whisky, Mandarin Napoleon liqueur, Talisker 10yo and cinnamon sugar.
Mexican Negroni: a mixture of Mezcal, Campari and Martini Rosso.
The Lumberjack: a concoction of Woodford Reserve infused with bacon, maple syrup, orange and angostura bitters (this is the cocktail I will personally be requesting to sample).
