This past weekend the Golden Globes aired with various winners such as Bohemian Rhapsody for best picture and The Americans as best television series drama. Furthermore, with Hollywood award shows comes glamorous and sometimes questionable red carpet looks from everyone’s favourite stars. Here are just a few of the fashion highlights from the night.
Troye Sivan wore a Calvin Klein suit and boots. The change from the usual boring black suit works wonderfully in this cool blue look. This paired with the on trend square toed cowboy shoes adds to the effortless but cool aesthetic.
Lady Gaga wore an icy blue huge gown with bellowing sleeves designed personally by Pierpaolo Piccioli. Gaga even took accessorising one step further by dying her hair the same colour as her gown.
Jodie Comer in Ralph and Russo. This dress could be viewed as a black giant fluffy Christmas tree, but it works! She looked sophisticated with her slicked back do and simple make up.
Lupita Nyong’o in custom Calvin Klein look like a gorgeous shimmery goddess. The beautiful purple colour accompanied with the dangling silver sequins creates a gorgeous combination. I can also imagine the way this dress moves, it’s a dress made to be partied in.
Yalitza Aparicio wore a dainty Miu Miu dress accompanied by a headband which made her look just like a princess. The pleats create an interesting shape, yet the top half of the dress creates a sweet and youthful look complimenting her beaming smile.
