As I begin to write this article, the sun is streaming through my bedroom window; although there is still a bit of a chill in the air, spring and then before we know it, summer will be upon us! As the stress of third year is really beginning to amplify, I am always looking for new ways to relax and unwind. Launching today, the 23rdof February (I know, how can it be Feb already?!) is the ‘Beats + Brunch’ brunch series at Madison Rooftop Bar, London.
Kicking the brunch series off today is critically acclaimed DJ Anton Powers, who will be providing the music as this stylish rooftop bar and restaurant give guests the ultimate foodie experience with mouth watering dishes such as Lobster Benedict, scrambled eggs with shaved truffle and Argentine sirloin. With stunning, panoramic views of the city, guests can enjoy bottomless Moetand party vibes with DJs taking to the decks from 1pm – 4pm, playing all the best tunes to get them dancing all day long. To spice up the afternoon, the DJ sets will be accompanied by sax and bongos – this will be the case for every weekend of the brunch series, not just today so don’t lose heart if, like me, you haven’t yet got your ticket yet!
Anton Powers is also a record producer, remixer and radio presenter who began his career in 2001 with Juice FM. After working on radio stations Radio City 96.7 and Capital FM, Powers formed the group Cahill with three other producers. The group has been since commissioned for many talented artists including Kylie Minogue, Nicole Scherzinger, Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, Rihanna and Selena Gomez. His Beats & Brunch set today will have house music rhythms that will entertain guests for hours on end to make sure the party keeps on going, setting the tone and atmosphere for the rest of the brunch series.
