Who said Sunday should be a day of rest? Madison Rooftop Bar certainly didn’t! To prove this, the iconic venue has launched a new Sunday summertime rooftop music series to enable guests to round off the week in style. I hasten to add that this exclusive music series will not feature any old music, oh no! Guests can take in stunning panoramic views of the city’s skyline, spotting landmarks such as St Pauls and The Shard, whilst grooving and jamming along to a unique fusion of both house and sweet sweet soul music at one of London’s most sought-after social settings. Even if the weather fails to be a belter to match the amazing vocals and sounds, Madison’s floor to ceiling windows mean that you will be able to take in the captivating beauty of the city come rain or shine as you lose yourself in the music.
The ‘Soul House Sessions’ series kicked off on Sunday the 28th of April and its host of renowned DJ’s, musicians and vocalists has been met with nothing but praise so far – a record that doesn’t look like it will be broken! For the first Soul House Session, Madison presented Blue Marlin Ibiza resident and original Hed Kandi vocalist Peyton, who truly set the benchmark exceedingly high for the rest of the summer series. Still to perform at Madison as part of the series include Michelle John whose incredible vocals saw her shoot to fame on The Voice UK, as well as Cookie, who most famously provided the lead vocals for Shapeshifters’ classic UK number one hit – Lola’s Theme.
The full line up for the upcoming weeks is as follows:
Sunday 12th May – Hanlei “Diamond” with Neil Pierce / Jamie Soul (Percussion)
Sunday 19th May – Michelle John with DJ Wigz / Alex Chadwick (Sax)
Sunday 26th May – Shapeshifters’ Cookie “Lola’s Theme” with DJ Wigz / Stacey Doherty (Sax)
Sunday 2nd June – Peyton “Higher Love” with Johnny Cermann / The Sax Man
Each event will be kicking off from 1pm onwards but why not make the most of the day and arrive early to hit the shops of One New Change – the shopping centre which the glamorous restaurant, bar and rooftop terrace that is Madison, is situated. If all this isn’t already enough, guests can also enjoy Madison’s renowned three-course Sunday lunch menu in the restaurant and half a bottle of wine all for £45 or opt for drinks and dining outside on the terrace. Either way, each Soul House Session is guaranteed to please! So as to celebrate finishing third year, I have already got my ticket and I cannot wait to shake all of my leftover stress and tension free from my body! So who is going to join me?
