The 9 Sandal Bible

The weather is looking up again and I am now stuck in my black winter boots, which means I have pulled together some more comfortable footwear as the heat continues to ramp up. Whether you are planning your wardrobe for a summer getaway or simply trying to survive the increasing summer heat in style, I should have a pair of sandals in this little list, or a style, for you to wear. You’ll find the perfect minimal slide for conquering the city, the sexy heels and lace-ups that are perfect for a night-out and the kitten heels you could wear into your summer work experience. These are the sandals you should give a go this summer!

No, they are not the most practical shoe in my little bible, but they sure are some of the sexiest ones I’ve seen so far. These barely there straps are effortless elegance.

We have the sunglasses, the spaghetti strap tops and the fruity lipgloss, now we need the summer shoes. The current obsession in the Land of Heels is the kitten heel. Of course, I am not about to suggest we all get a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti shoes to achieve the full 90s summer look. But, there are high-street options that makes the 90s look easier to source.

  1. Topshop: Strippy Heeled Sandals (White) (£39.00)

The holy grail shoe for our approaching warm weather season. What’s not to love about it? There is plenty of variety in colours, a range of details and they go with everything. They’re simple, easy to pack, stylish and comfortable.

  1. Zara: Flat Leather Sandals with Buckle Detail (Orange) (£39.99)

I love my heels, but my feet beg for mercy by the end of the day, so a platform is my go-to daily option. By adding a few extra inches to the soles of your flats, these sandals will have you reaching for the sun this summer.

  1. ASOS [Denise]: Black Flatform Sandals (Black) (£29.99)
  1. Urban Outfitters: Claire Strappy Sandals (White) (£42.00)

I have attempted walking around in sky-high wedges for the day and I strongly do not recommend it. However, any smaller than that and you’re good to go. If you desire to be comfortable and stable without risking your style, these are the heeled sandals for you.

You can wear these on your commute or all-day long, as the basic flip flop made its comeback last year. I must admit, at first, I didn’t think the world needed to see this type of sandal return to our wardrobes, but once I got my pair I was a believer. With more colours and textures available, this sandal staple is a must-have.
