Euphoric Inspiration

HBO’s newest show Euphoria has gained huge popularity, with even the likes of Leonardo Dicaprio stating his adoration. One of the many reasons for its obsessive following is the styling and beauty that she show has produced. It shows youthful fashion as something that doesn’t fit a norm and allows people to be playful with their looks. Here are some of my favourite looks from season one that I have honestly not stopped thinking about since binge watching the show.

The season finale produced some incredible looks with the characters attending their high school prom. Alexa Demie’s character Maddy Perez wore a bedazzled, feathery, sheer two-piece with a matching headpiece. It’s the perfect combination of modern and vintage with the modern silhouette and the vintage glitter and feathers.

One of the most aesthetically pleasing movies to exist is Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo and Juliet, therefore whilst watching the Halloween episode of Euphoria and seeing Hunter Schafer’s character Jules Vaughn attend a party dressed as Juliet my heart honestly melted. Juliet’s angel costume is the best character costume to date, there’s no room for debate.

Sydney Sweeney’s character Cassie Howard wears this whilst simply walking through her school corridor yet it manages to make her look like she should be in Italy lounging on a yacht, that’s the power of a Realisation Par dress. The newspaper print of the dress makes it cool and original whilst the shape makes it look sweet and flirty.

We love a girl in a suit and we love a girl in a detective suit even more. There’s something about adding a pair of braces, with a gun holder and detective badge to a suit that makes it even better. Whilst it’s a bit too costume-like for the everyday, remove the gun holder and badge and you have yourself a sophisticated and cool suit, that amplifies you above the normal shirt wearing formal wear.
