It’s already coming to the end of June. You know what that means! Vinny Sandhu is coming to you with her monthly favourite products from fashion to beauty and skincare to haircare.
Morphe: Colour Pencil (Coconut) (£4.50) – Vinny Sandhu, Style & Beauty Writer
I used to pick up this pencil when I needed a white eyeliner to make my eyes wider, but I now have other pencils and liners to do that trick. I prefer to use this pencil for outlines for my graphic liner or for when I need an idea of where I am going to put on my gems and glitter products. This is creamy pencil that does pack in some powerful pigment. You just need to glide it on, and it will stay on! This little pencil will help you draw all the attention you want and it’s a great hack for my artistic and editorial eye makeup designs!
Bohomoon: Classic Zodiac Necklace (Scorpio) (£22.00) – Vinny Sandhu, Style & Beauty Writer
I wear my details on my neck. You’ve seen me with my date of birth, my religious affiliation and now you’ve got my star sign readily available. I am obsessed with necklaces from Bohomoon. They are stainless steel which means they won’t tarnish. Their products are also available in gold, silver or rose gold, so you have plenty of options. I’ve had this one in my jewelry box for a few months now but it’s the perfect summer accessory and works really well with all of my outfits.
H&M: Puff-Sleeved Jersey Top (White) (£12.99) – Vinny Sandhu, Style & Beauty Writer
Just like many others, I have been keeping my eye on the best puff-sleeve top for the summer, then I finally found it last month. It’s relatively simple and is perfect for the summer heat and summer sun. It is a cropped, fitted top in crinkled jersey with broderie anglaise. The sweetheart neckline is gorgeous and is something new for me to wear. The short puff sleeves are equally adorably with elastication over the shoulders. Check out this top for a sophisticated daytime look or a romantic evening look.
Avène: Thermal Spring Water Spray (£13.00) – Vinny Sandhu, Style & Beauty Writer
I won’t lie to you, this is basically water in a can, but boy does it feel good in this sweltering heat. Regardless of that fact, it still has soothing and anti-irritating benefits, it is great for sensitive skin. You should use it to soothe the skin when it is irritated, after a sunburn or to set your make-up, but if you want a truly efficient and long-lasting setting spray then this is not the one. I use this on my cheeks when I have been out in the sun for too long or on my arms and hands after a lengthy walk.
Fresh: Sugar Face Polish Exfoliator (£21.00) – Vinny Sandhu, Style & Beauty Writer
As a huge exfoliator buff, I have gone through so many exfoliating products I know what flies around here. If you’re looking for a sugar scrub, I cannot point you to a better one, as this will buff, refine and hydrate your skin. I use this when I can’t exfoliate with my electronic facial brush. This is packed with brown sugar, which is a natural humectant that will seal in moisture, but it will also gently buff away any dry or dull skin. The wild strawberries are loaded with Vitamin C to help brighten and soothe your skin.
Kiehl’s: Ultra Facial Cream (£26.00) – Vinny Sandhu, Style & Beauty Writer
You can probably tell by now that the heat is getting to my skin, especially my cheeks, which are constantly parched for hydration. The Ultra Facial Cream is simple but powerful. The reason I prefer this cream in the summer is because it has this lightweight texture and is non-greasy. The cream has been formulated with glacial glycoprotein derived from sea glaciers and olive-derived squalene. I would recommend this for all skin types and for all temperatures around the year. You should pick up a jar of this cream to rebalance the level of hydration and moisture loss for your skin.
I hope you have found some products you also want to try out. Be sure to tune in next month for more of my favourites in July!
