Ok yeah, I know, I write a lot about Black Honey. Give me a break, they’ve only been my favourite band for like five years. Most importantly, during that time, I’ve seen them live. Lots. If I recall correctly, the current count is 14 times. From a tiny acoustic gig at Soho’s House of St Barnabas to supporting Royal Blood at Alexandra Palace, and even Glastonbury’s hotbed of up-and-coming acts (the John Peel Tent) they have never been anything short of exceptional.
It should therefore be clear why I’m pretty stoked to see a tour announcement for this autumn. We’re all in serious need of a bit of gigging as soon as possible, and this will be a prime chance to bring out your discoiest (that should be a word, Oxford Dictionary people) fits and get groovy. With dates up and down this lovely island and sure to be reasonably priced, there is no reason not to get out there.
Tickets release Friday morning and are sure to sell out quickly, so keep your eyes peeled, fingers sharp, and wallet to hand. This is bound to be one of Black Honey’s last small tours before they start headlining venues like Brixton Academy, so get stuck in while you still can. It’ll be something to tell the grandkids about in a few decades, at the very least.
Can’t wait until March 19th? Listen to Black Honey’s latest single ‘Disinfect’ below.
